10/24 Join Litte Bitte @ Saint Raphael’s – Tickets Available!

Should you see teenagers bedecked in costume and carrying lanterns up and down Walcott Street on Saturday, October 24, you needn’t worry that Halloween came early this year. Saint Raphael Academy invites Saints families, alumni and community members to join its first annual Saints StrollThe adult event serves as the primary fundraiser for the private, Catholic, Lasallian school that has been a fixture on Walcott Street for almost 100 years.

Saints Stroll is a new incarnation of the former Jazz & Pop fundraiser. This highly anticipated event filled with food, wine and musical entertainment by Sound Stream was created to showcase all of the wonderful additions to the historic Quality Hill campus. The evening will begin with a champagne reception in the Navigant Credit Union Art Gallery at the Joseph and Blanche Coutu Theatre, home to Saints’ award-winning drama program. Guests will then be escorted by lantern-bearing students to the main event in Alumni Hall, the school’s state-of-the-art athletic facility.

Stop by the speakeasy-style cocktail bar featuring unique fall libations created by Willa Van Nostrand of Little Bitte Artisanal Cocktails of Warren, or nosh on a roasted butternut squash and kale pasta dish artfully prepared by Chef Kaitlyn Roberts of Easy Entertaining of Providence. There will be plentiful raffle baskets as well as silent and live auction items to choose from, including a Newport getaway package with helicopter ride from Bird’s Eye View Helicopters of Middletown, or for Red Sox fans, four tickets and a private behind-the-scenes tour of Fenway Park. Manning the microphone for the event will be a familiar voice to many: Saints alum Harry Grigsby ’00, Providence College Friars basketball emcee of six straight seasons. Harry, a hip-hop vocalist who performs under the name of Jon Hope, will be lending his talent as well as his energy and enthusiasm to keep the crowd moving.

SRA’s own Sean Larkin ’92, Rhode Island’s premier brewmaster, will provide guests with a sampling of his award-winning craft beers from Revival Brewing Company, and local artist Mike Bryce ’85 of Bryce Studio will feature his paintings of Rhode Island’s most coveted treasures and landmarks in a private exhibition right on campus.

Rounding out this incredible evening is Flour Girls Baking Company of Fairhaven, MA, serving guests their signature apple cider donuts and other fall specialties from their vintage-style food truck.

Saints Stroll promises to be an evening to sip, stroll and savor memories both old and new. Tickets are now available for $55 each or $100 per couple.
